Pakistan Clinches 13 Medals in the 1st Asian Junior Championship 2010-Iran
The 1st Asian Junior Championship for Ju-Jitsu & Belt Wrestling was held at Kish Island-Iran under the aegis of AJJBWF.This event was an integral part of 2nd World martial Arts Festival organized by Martial Arts Federation of Iran in collaboration of Ministry of Sports & National Olympic Committee of Iran. The Country Vice President H.E.Mr.Saeed Loo inaugurated this mega event on 19th July 2010. Top leaders of Country also attended the colorful opening ceremony which was telecasted live on Many Television Channels. The Ju-Jitsu event was shown live on T.V as well. The prominent part is that this event was telecasted by B.B.C T.V as well.

The Asian Championship was conducted under the rules of JJIF for Ju-Jitsu & IBWA for Belt Wrestling. President AJJBWF Khalil Ahmed Khan distributed the medals and certificates of Merits among the winners of the event. The age limit was 17-21 years. It is to be mentioned here, that it is another feather in the hat of AJJBWF to organize the youth activities in Asia as earlier they have organized the cadet championship beside the senior Asian Championship. Hence, youth of Asian countries are getting more and more opportunity to show their skill on the Tatami.
Pakistan’s Abu Huraira secured Gold Medal in -55kg and Ms.Sundas Salam in -49kg Gold.
