National Championship 2009

Pakistan JuJitsu Federation (PJJF) is organizing national championship 2009 in the month of December 2009 at Lahore. Pakistan Wapda has been entrusted this event by PJJF.

The competitions will be held in accordance with the Sport and Organization Rules and the Referee Rules of the Asian Ju-Jitsu Belt Wrestling Federation (AJJBWF)

1-WEIGHT CATEGORIES (JJ)

 2-ENTRIES:
 The number of entries permitted is limited:

2.1  Each Unit/Association may enter ONE competitor in each of the weight categories,i.e. a total of 12 (7-weight categories each for Men and Women). You can put the same player in Duo System or may send separate body for Ju-Jitsu whereas, for Belt Wrestling, Men 09 and Women 05. The same player can participate in Free Style and Traditional Style bring other player.

2.2 Three participants from four different units must compete in a category in order that the championship for that category to be held.

2.3 Competitors may only be entered in the weight category to which they belong.

2.4 Participant can only be entered in one weight category.
2.5 Only the names of the fighters duly entered following the above procedure will be drawn.
 
3-IDENTITY:
Competitors must be of the same identity which has entered them. Proof of identity will be required according to the Sport and Organization Rules of the PJJF.

4-COMPETITORS’ AGE:
Men and Women under 25 years. For those competitors who have not attained their majority,the respective units obtain authority from their parents.

5-WEIGH IN:
The weigh-in will be carried out in accordance with Sport and Organization Rules of the AJJBWF.

The weigh-in will be conducted on the same day that each respective category is being contested.
The competitors shall weigh-in wearing only gymnastic underclothing or naked, under the supervision of a weigh-in official of the same gender; the competitors may be requested to remove their underclothing to ensure they are within the prescribed limits of the weight category in which they are entered.
Only one weight control shall be permitted to each competitor up on the scale during the official weigh-in period.
No tolerance shall be allowed either above or below the weight category.

5.1 The weigh-in will be under the control of the Sports and Refereeing Directors.
5.2 Each competitor will bring to the weigh-in his or her AJJBWF control card.

6-JUDOGI CONTROL:
6.1 The Judogi Control will be under the control of the PJJF Sports Director.
6.2 Advertising: Each unit has to make sure that the marking and advertising placed on the Judogi is in conformity with the AJJBWF rules. The use of a non-conforming Judogi will be prohibited.
6.3 Sizes: The measurements of the Judogi and their conformity with the AJJBWF rules will  be controlled immediately before each fight by Officials appointed by the PJJF. The use of a non conforming Judogi will be prohibited (including the collar thickness shall not excess 1 cm and the width 5 cm)
6.4 Color: Competitors will be required to bring 2 white Judogi or two uniform for Belt Wrestling in Blue and Green.. The Color standards for the Judogi or Belt Wrestling must be in conformity with those in the Sports and Organization rules.

7-DRAW:
7.1 The draw will be conducted in accordance with the Sport and Organization Rules of the AJJBWF. It will be held one day prior to the event.
7.2 Each unit must send a delegate to attend the draw; a maximum of two delegates per unit will be authorized. After the completion of the draw two sets of the draw lists will be provided to each delegation.
7.3 The four medal winners (gold, silver and 2 bronze) of each weight category in the last national championship of the federating unit  (male and female) will be “seeded” before the draw, if they compete in the same weight categories.

8-REFEREEING :
8.1 The Refereeing Commission will select the referees for each contest.
8.2 Refereeing will be conducted by International Referees and National Referees in accordance with the Refereeing Rules of the AJJBWF
8.3 For each contest there will be three referees of units from those of the competitors in Ju-Jitsu and one in Belt Wrestling.
8.4 Referees in case of any difficulties can consult the Refereeing Commission Members. Under no circumstances can competitors or their representatives have no right to appeal the decisions, and any attempt to approach the Organizing Committee or the PJJF Executive Board in this regard, could result in their exclusion from the Championships.
8.5 If at all, unit fed. Any in justice during the match, it has right to lodge a protest in writing to the Chief Referee by depositing fee of Rs.1000/-

9-INSURANCE
Each unit is responsible for his/her competitor (s), [the control of non pregnancy as well as the gender control,is placed under the responsibility of the respective unit], and must assume all responsibility for accident and health insurance as well as the civil liabilities for their competitors and officials, including the nominated referees during the National Championship. The PJJF has no liability for any claims of illness, injury or death during the competition.

10-DURATION OF CONTESTS:
The duration for each contest will be:
MEN & WOMEN     : Three (03) minutes (real time)

11-PARTICULAR RULES FOR WOMEN:
Female contestants shall wear under the jacket either, a plain while or off-white tee shirt, with short sleeves, rather strong, long enough to be worn inside the trousers, or a plain white or off-white leotard will short sleeves.
All other regulations must be adhered to, such as short nails, covering of heirs with band or scraf etc.

12-ANTI-DOPING CONTROL:
The anti-doping control will include in each category:

12.1-  the winner of the category
12.2-  one of the three other medal winners
12.3-  one of the 5th and 7th placed competitors

As per draw carried out in accordance with the Anti-doping Rules and the Sport and Organization Rules of the AJJBWF.

- The competitors drawn among the fifth and seventh have to go immediately to the anti-doping control.

- At the end of the medal ceremony, all other competitors summoned in writing by the Physician mandated by the PJJF follow the indications leading them to the check station (they have to report to the station one hour after summoned). They are constantly accompanied by persons from the organization from the time they receive their notice until they reach the check station. A person of their choice (team doctor, coach, trainer, delegation head……) may accompany the competitors.

13-AWARDS:
The organizer shall provide for presentation:

13.1-  A certificate of participation for each participant.
13.2-  Medals and diploma: 
First place:  Gold medal and diploma
Second place:  Silver medal and diploma
Two Third places: Bronze medals and diploma

14-DISCIPLINARY ACTION:    
14.1- No person other than respective Coach is allowed to come closer to mat during the competition.
14.2- If any Player or Coach misbehave with the Referees or Technical persons, the whole team will be debarred from rest of the event, even the medals already achieved will be withdrawn.
14.3- The only written protest is admissible by following the relevant rules.

15-WINNING TROPHY:
The team with the maximum points will be given the winning trophy and the best player will also be given trophy for the best player.


16-PAYMENT OF FEES BY PARTICIPATING UNITS
Member units which have not paid their membership fees to the PJJF by the required date will automatically by suspended from all activities of the PJJF, including participation in the Championships, until full payment is made of all accounts due.
